January 2005 Note: Over the next several weeks, West Marine and the Modern Sailing Academy are inviting organizations to participate in these upcoming tests.

We plan to include comments and suggestions from a wide number of groups and individuals within this web site. It became clear from the earlier tests that it was beneficial to include many different ideas that could be contrasted with conventional wisdom. This clash of opinion, which we encouraged at the evening Round Table sessions, led to a better informed group of participants that were able to gain insights into the topic of personal safety on a boat.

Each of the next few sections of our navigation bar will focus on specific categories of tests. We will provide an overview for each of these sections. Consider this an invitation to add your comments in each of these specific categories.
